What's behind the Garden Street Financial Group name...
It was in 1936 that my grandfather, Isadore Crystal, began a career in the life insurance business. He sold 10-cent policies to families who could afford the protection. Ten years later, after building a successful practice, he sold his business to help his father run the family’s specialty foods store. While premiums are no longer 10 cents per week, the values my grandfather shared with his clients are values that I feel are still important today: personal responsibility, mutual respect, knowledgeable advice, and prompt, polite service.
During a visit to Duluth, Minnesota, and the house at 111 Garden Street in which my grandfather raised his family, the inspiration came to me of incorporating his history, and memory, into my business model. With that, Garden Street Financial Group LLC was formed. Those same values continue to guide me through all of the endeavors of my life.
